1st Birthday Football

Picture isn't great. This was a 1st birthday cake for a little guy, Jackson. The football was a smash cake and the entire design was based on the invite and party supplies used for the party.

Spongebob Square Pants

Cake was airbrushed yellow and then the decorative elements were added. I love airbrushing!

Elegance comes with age

One of the pretty cakes I've done. I love the quilted look with the pearls. This was done for a 60th birthday and I thought the colors, the pearls, and the quilted look really had that touch of elegance that only comes with age.

Princess Party and Cake Party

The small cakes were given to the girls to decorate for the party. Cakes were bc'ed and fondant covered prior to the party (girls were 4).

This was done for "Ave" who was turning four. I airbrushed the cake the purple and pink and had the fabulous idea the paint the stars other colors....yeah, the didn't work out so well. I couldn't tell if it was the food color I was using or what but lesson learned! This was also the second "cake party" I taught. Fifteen four year olds were each given their own four inch cake already buttercreamed and fondant covered. We rolled out various colors of fondant and had cookie cutters, etc laying on the table that the girls could use and they want at it. Once they were done decorating, their cakes were placed in a little cake box for them to bring their cakes home. It was a hit!!! The party was easy....the prep work was a lot.

Bowling Party

Simple yet fun....bowling ball and pins are fondant.

Cute, right?!? This was for a little girl, Belle, and her 1st birthday. The top cake was a smash cake for the birthday princess.

I'm back!!

So it's been awhile since I've updated this. We have had a lot going on...family, work, the usual run of the mill type of stuff. I have been baking and decorating when I can  and have some new pics to show. I've learned some things to do and not to do along the way these last few weeks (i.e when airbrushing don't keep a ceiling fan on at the same time). I have also started having "children's cake parties" which have been an experience. I can blame...oops, I mean credit to...my friend Courtenay and her daughter Hali for coming up with the idea. In all honesty, they are fun and the girls seem to have fun decorating the cakes!!!

I'll try to update this weekly so stay tuned everyone!!
